There arrived a moment during the third episode of the first season of Netflix's smash hit, Bridgerton, that featured the handsome Duke (Rege-Jean Page) ...
Yes, but it was about quantity for us, Chris. Bridgerton waltzed into our lives at the end of 2020 (Christmas Day, to be exact), arguably the least sexy year in history. From there, it was on for young and old (mostly young), as we became enraptured with Daphne, the Duke and their endless pursuit of pleasure. And even the most staunch Bridgerton fan would be hard-pressed to argue they fell in love with the show because of its sizzling dialogue or riveting plot. Season one was a global sensation, drawing in Netflix’s biggest audience at the time, with a record 82 million households worldwide watching the drama within its first month of streaming. But the first season of Bridgerton didn’t just tease us with inanimate innuendo; we got more actual sex than we knew what to do with. There’s even an Instagram account (@thedukesspoon) with more than 20,000 followers, dedicated solely to different shots of the Duke devouring his spoon.

Another user explained, "OP, I think the language that many north Indians speak is called hindustani as it has Hindi and Urdu mixed in it. The Reddit user captioned the video, "She is fluent in Hindustani ?! Man," suggesting that Kate should have used the term Hindi to describe the language. The second season of Netflix's hit series Bridgerton, which started streaming on the OTT platform on Friday, has a major representation of the Indian culture.
The plotline in season two is the romance between Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) — complicated by the fact that ...
Morris will celebrate with a livestream, "Maren Morris: Live From New York," on Amazon Prime and the streaming service's Twitch channel Saturday. Claudia Jessie, who portrays Eloise on Netflix's 'Bridgerton,' talked to Vulture about playing the character and what to expect with season three.
A lot of the women in the show are quite bare and like to show a lot of arms and chest. I would love Eloise to find a clear objective and focus on one thing. Penelope knows how much Eloise loves Lady Whistledown and how much she probably wanted to be her. She talked a lot about how amazing she is and how they should aspire to be just like her. I liked that I got to unsubscribe a little bit and be a bit clumsy. There’s a firmness to the cut and the style of her clothes. I think they should be able to exist and be free and do what they want to do. A lot of us have cried when we watch them perform to the music. She, and also Penelope in a way, are signs of what’s to come. What do you mean I have to do this? Eloise is that beautiful, fresh, young mind who quite rightly is thinking about her right to autonomy and freedom and not to be a property of a man and to want to earn her own money. She’s a sign of what was to come.
And while the mistress of Aubrey Hall and her daughter, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), have their hands full making preparations and keeping the guests entertained, ...
He stares at his mother’s engagement ring and, for a moment, it looks like he has decided to listen to Daphne. But as Edwina is about to get into her carriage, Anthony strides out of the manor, gets down on one knee, and asks her to marry him. Instead of a wealthy bachelor, Jack is a penniless man, and all of his ruby mines in the Americas have failed. Anthony tries to explain himself to his sister, who compares the situation in which she found him with her compromising moment with the duke (Regé-Jean Page) in Season 1. The day of the ball finally arrives, and Eloise allows Penelope and her mother to convince her to accept her first foray into the dance floor. Edwina convinces her sister to take to the floor with Anthony in order to make the final arrangements for the proposal, but the dance doesn’t go exactly as planned. Inspired by a conversation with Prudence (Bessie Carter) about entrapping men into marriage, she arranges for her daughter and Jack to be found alone at the manor’s orangery by a number of Lady Bridgerton’s guests. Colin says that he wanted to apologize for his previous actions and to tell her he has forgiven her for trying to deceive him about her pregnancy. Miss Sharma tries to talk to the viscount about what happened the day before, but can’t seem to find her voice. Edwina blames her sister for the viscount’s failure to propose and asks her to smooth things out with him. Miss Sharma is initially reluctant, but after Anthony doubts her hunting skills, she decides to tag along, chaperoned by a poor maid that can’t seem to balance herself on her horse. The fact that Eloise seems to be legitimately interested in the pamphlets, and not just hunting for Lady Whistledown, offers some consolation, but poor Penelope never seems to catch a break: when Colin (Luke Newton) announces that he’s paying a visit to Marina (Ruby Barker), we can almost see her heart breaking into a million pieces. Upon arriving at Aubrey Hall, she’s horrified to learn that not only is Eloise (Claudia Jessie) still going back to the printer for more women's rights pamphlets, but that she even knows the shop’s apprentice by name.
'Bridgerton' creator Chris Van Dusen and stars Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran weigh in on whether we'll see the Sharma sisters again in season 3.
And I love the fact that she has her own wants and needs and desires and feelings." I'm super excited to see them super loved up and happy in that sense." Ashley adds, "I'm super excited to see the post-marriage Kate and Anthony, to see them happy.
Showrunner Chris Van Dusen with stars Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran speak to The Hollywood Reporter about the enemies-to-lovers storyline and being ...
“The chemistry that you see and feel between Jonathan and Simone as Anthony and Kate is just out of this world,” Van Dusen says. In a previous guest column for THR, Van Dusen shared that, from the get-go, he wanted to create a series that was intentionally inclusive, turning the period genre on its head and reimagining it. She made sure we were comfortable and confident, that we felt heard, that there was an easy window of communication.” “I think that’s because there’s just so much conflict to mine between Anthony and Kate, and they have this banter that is just so much fun to watch, and Jonathan and Simone are so good at it.” When Edwina is declared “the diamond” of the season, as Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) was in season one, Anthony knows whom he wants to marry — if only her sister approved of their union. Kate knows Anthony isn’t looking for love, and she wants better for the younger sister she’s looked after all of her life.
As the popular Regency romp returns Bridgerton to Netflix for season 2, Luke Thompson weighs in on Benedict's feelings about love, compares him to Prince ...
“I tend to think that's a question for the writers really, because in order to be playing a character, I sort of have to surrender that side of my brain. “Benedict seems to be very much a character who takes it as it comes and is very open, but then to have that sense of something pure and romantic is quite... Up to this point on screen, and in the books the show is based on, all of Benedict's romantic and sexual partners are women. While there’s certainly a debate to be had over whether the first trailer of Bridgerton featured a bit of queerbaiting, thus far the series never explicitly suggests that Benedict isn’t straight, only a member of an artistic community, and friends with at least one queer person. Benedict Bridgerton has a bit in common with Prince Harry—or, at least with Prince Harry before he fell in love with Meghan, ditched the official royal role, and moved to California, that is. “But where we end up in season two does sort of prime us for a relationship to his creativity, that's a bit more akin to what it's like in the book, which is that it's something he wanted to explore, has been burnt a bit by it, and now is keeping to himself. "What is it truly to admire a woman? And I like that idea because it's quite touching to feel like you've tried to explore something, it hasn't gone your way, and then you nurture it quietly. Given that Bridgerton has already been officially renewed, the show's writers clearly felt comfortable leaving a few storylines unresolved by the end of this season. “And so he's in that process of finding his own world. And then it turns out that it's through Anthony. There's a real poignancy to that, trying to define yourself and trying to extricate yourself from the family unit and then realizing that maybe you are only there because your older brother helped you.” As evidenced by his partying this season, Benedict clearly likes to have a good time.
