But the humble fighter, who will almost certainly be fighting for the UFC title when he next enters the octagon, is still getting used to his celebrity-like life and was caught off guard backstage when he was told he had a VIP guest of the UFC waiting for him.

Shot to the body for Kara-France and Askarov lands a big right. Heavy pressure from Askarov and he throws a big uppercut. Askarov again gets the back of Kara-France, but Kara-France scrambles immediately. Entering the final round at UFC Columbus and it’s all going to come down to this round. Kara-France gets to his feet but Askarov is holding on the body triangle. Entering the second at UFC Columbus and the message is clear for Kara-France, keep the fight standing. Askarov coming forward and looks for a looping hook but eats a leg kick. Kara-France continues to look for his jab and he lands a calf kick.
