LIVE NRL: Walsh misses field goal as Warriors and Cowboys go to golden point in epic.

The Cowboys inexplicably didn’t go to for a field goal with three minutes to play allowing the Warriors to go up the other end. Kyle Fledt finished off a long-range try for the Cowboys against the run of play to give the Cowboys an 18-6 lead. Addin Fonua-Blake produced a huge blunder in the in-goal to allow Scott Drinkwater the easiest of tries and give the Cowboys a 12-6 lead. The Warriors hit back with a try to Jesse Arthars to take a 6-4 lead after 13 minutes. Tom Dearden opened the scoring after slicing through for the first try of the night to give the Warriors a 4-0 lead. The Warriors have come back from the dead to seal a 25-24 golden point win over the Cowboys with Shaun Johnson slotting the decisive field goal at Moreton Daily Stadium.

Warriors snag golden point win off Johnson's clutch field goal (1 News)

Shaun Johnson is a Warriors hero once more, helping his side take down the Cowboys 25-24 in an NRL thriller.

Johnson then missed his first attempt after Granville pressured again, before sidestepping and drilling a low effort that snuck over the bar. But it was the Warriors with all the chances late in the game, Johnson eventually winning it for his nomads at their adopted home with his third field goal attempt and second in extra time. The halfback's first effort looked on track but was smothered by Jake Granville, before teammate Reece Walsh sliced his effort right with effectively the final play after 80 minutes.

The Warriors are on a roll, after a cliffhanger golden point victory over the Cowboys.

The Cowboys were edging the yardage battle – with their impressive line speed – and on the back of strong defence, were gifted a try when Addin Fonua-Blake – a late inclusion – made a casual attempt to clean up a Chad Townsend grubber. After their recent parsimonious efforts on defence, where they only conceded three tries in the previous two weeks, the Warriors had their line breached three times in the space of a half hour, but they rebounded from a poor start. They spent most of the match in their own territory – with the Cowboys dominating – but kept finding a way to be close on the scoreboard, off scraps of possession.
