The rapper was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with a gun upon returning to L.A. from a trip to Barbados with Rihanna.

The victim said the incident occurred around 10:15 p.m., and he later sought medical treatment for a minor injury. NBC News and TMZ were first to report the news. Rapper A$AP Rocky was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday morning in connection with a November shooting.

ASAP Rocky, who was flying back from Barbados, was arrested Wednesday in Los Angeles on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

He and two members of his entourage were accused of aggravated assault. The victim sustained a minor injury and later sought medical treatment. According to law enforcement sources, detectives have had the artist under surveillance for some time and tracked his return from Barbados.

ASAP Rocky was arrested at LAX on Wednesday in relation to an alleged 2021 non-fatal shooting.

This isn't the rapper's first run in with the law. The rapper was returning from a trip to Barbados that he took with Rihanna before he being detained by authorities. The victim reportedly sustained a minor injury, making this a non-fatal shooting.

The shooting had not yet been reported in the media. LAPD made the arrest with assistance from Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations team.In January, Rihanna, announced that she was pregnant with her first child. Mayers had been under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for a Nov. 6 shooting near Vista Del Mar and Selma Ave. around 10:20 pm.

ASAP Rocky and Rihanna are currently expecting their first child together. Recent reports revealed the couple has been spending time in Barbados.

TMZ also later reported that police served a search warrant at Rocky’s residence in the Los Angeles area. “Early this morning, LAPD officers arrested [ASAP Rocky] for assault with a deadly weapon (firearm) at the Los Angeles International Airport,” police said, adding that the case will next be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The LAPD statement also alleged the shooting in question started with “an argument between two acquaintances” near Selma Avenue and Argyle Avenue in the Hollywood area. The unnamed individual is also reported to have told police he believes a bullet “grazed his left hand” during the alleged incident.

The rapper was taken into custody at Los Angeles airport as he returned from a holiday with Rihanna.
