Show rolls on for Super Rugby's front-runners (Wide World of Sports)

The Blues show rolls on, their Super Rugby Pacific win streak up to eight after a less than convincing bonus-point victory in their historic match against ...

The Drua host the Highlanders next Saturday in their first match in Suva, and will fancy their chances of an upset. The Blues will have set themselves the goal of running the table in these trans-Tasman clashes, which should sew up the minor premiership, and that all-important home playoff advantage. It wasn't the most fluent of opening halves by the Blues as they scored three tries to one, but had plenty of anxious moments against a Drua outfit who brought plenty to the occasion. Ratave doubled the Drua's try haul with a dazzling power run to the line. They struggled to string together the phases and to apply pressure to a Drua outfit who outplayed them for long periods of this clash. Rieko Ioane and AJ Lam were the standout Blues backs, and young lock Sam Darry would have been pleased with his effort.

An AJ Lam brace and runaway intercept try from Rieko Ioane helped the Blues to a 35-18 victory at AAMI Park.

The Blues had to toil down a man for the final 10 minutes after losing reserve prop Karl Tu'inukuafe to a yellow card after repeated team infringements, but they managed to hang tough to secure a bonus point. With their silky skills on show the Drua dominated possession but too often were unable to capitalise on the pressure they put on their opponents. Blues winger AJ Lam then showed another way to score, using clever footwork to step through for his second of the night, extending their lead to 17 points with 15 minutes remaining.
