Notre Dame ended its opponent's hopes of claiming a lead, tallying three goals to start the quarter before Landry dodged and rolled off of her defender to score on a wide-open shot within the eight-meter. Duke attempted to make the comeback it needed in the second quarter, threatening to chip away at Notre Dame’s six-point advantage. On the other hand, Duke struggled to maintain possession and, despite having more shots than Notre Dame, only scored twice in those first 15 minutes. Keller helped get the ball down the field and to sophomore attacker Katie DeSimone’s stick for a shot at goal, but Notre Dame goalie Bridget Deehan had no trouble making the save to give her team its first possession of the game. No. 4-seed Duke seemed to be a shoo-in to reach the semifinals, having already etched a victory against Notre Dame earlier in the season. But not for Duke, which had its conference tournament run cut short due to a locked-in Notre Dame squad.

Why It Makes Sense For Adani To Buy Out Holcim's India Stake (NDTV Profit)

Holcim ventured into the Indian market in 2005 through acquisitions of its twin arms Ambuja and ACC.

Given the synergies that can emerge from this combination, it does seem like a step in the right direction. Dependency on a single market exposes cement players to the price fluctuations in that region. Another challenge in the Indian cement industry is setting up a widespread distribution network. The Adani group has expressed interest in manufacturing cement by announcing their foray a few years ago. So an effective strategy is to build plants across the country and cater to different markets. Disclaimer: This article is for information purposes only. Fly ash is a solid waste byproduct of coal-based power generation. Their flagship firm Adani Enterprises has two cement subsidiaries. From acquiring land acquisitions to meeting environmental norms, commencing operations can be a prolonged and tedious process in India. Therefore, expanding inorganically can be highly value-accretive, especially for a new player like Adani. This acquisition will be the conglomerate's largest to date after buying SB Energy for $3.5 billion last year. Some believe the company is shifting its core strategy towards sustainability and going green.

ACC spring football recaps - Breaking down the offseason for each ... (ESPN)

Has Clemson figured out its quarterback issues? Is Mario Cristobal ready to make an instant impact? And what will Pitt do if Biletnikoff winner Jordan Addison ...

What we need to learn by Week 1: Miami has hit the portal hard looking for contributors on the defensive line and linebacker. But the truth is, offense was not the problem last year in Charlottesville. The defense could not stop anyone, and that is the area that ultimately must make the most improvement for Virginia to challenge in the Coastal Division. There were glimpses in the spring -- including better tackling -- and new coach Tony Elliott made sure to note the improvement by his defensive linemen. What we need to learn by Week 1: There are major holes to fill across the board, but the two biggest are on offense. What we learned this spring: The Cavaliers know what they have in returning quarterback Brennan Armstrong and a talented group of receivers -- Dontayvion Wicks, Keytaon Thompson, Billy Kemp IV and Lavel Davis Jr. (working his way back from a knee injury). To that extent, the new coaching staff wants to take the rushing load off Armstrong and rely on the running backs for more carries and yards. The team's leading receiver in 2021, Charleston Rambo, is gone, and Miami is still searching for a receiver who is able to stretch the field. What we need to learn by Week 1: The Yellow Jackets lost their best player in running back Jahmyr Gibbs, who transferred to Alabama. Last season, Gibbs finished No. 3 in the nation in all-purpose yards with 1,805, and at least in the spring, it did not seem apparent who would emerge to take over his spot. What we learned this spring: New coach Mike Elko wanted to establish a shift in mindset with his players, after a winless ACC season a year ago filled with struggles across the board. He showcased his arm again in the spring game, throwing for 355 yards and three touchdowns, and the NC State passing attack is clearly poised to be one of the most explosive in the league. What we need to learn by Week 1: Can Babers land some defensive line help via the transfer portal? What we learned this spring: Devin Leary should be in the discussion as the best QB in the ACC -- and among the best in the country. Finding more burst at the line of scrimmage remains the biggest lingering question, and it could be the key to the Cardinals hopes for 2022. With spring football wrapped up and the start of another season just four months away, let's take a look at what we've learned and what we still need to learn for each ACC team.
