LIVE: Rabbitohs star suffers serious reinjury (Wide World of Sports)

Wide World of Sports has you covered for Saturday's NRL action, starting with the Warriors and Rabbitohs.

He looked a despondent figure as he made his way from the field, perhaps knowing that his season may be done. Souths have this match well and truly wrapped up, with a 32-6 lead midway through the second half. Souths will join the Sea Eagles on five wins, but the Rabbitohs' points differential will see them leap ahead of Manly. The only problem for the Rabbitohs was what appears to be a serious shoulder injury for Jacob Host in the opening minutes of play. The Warriors have finally troubled the scorers right on the stroke of half time, but Souths are well and truly in charge of this match at the break, with a 26-6 lead. Fox League reports that Host's shoulder popped out during a tackle, and medical staff weren't able to get it back into place until he was in the dressing room. Jack Gosiewski 19. Jack Bird 12. Jack de Belin 13. The Dragons have a plethora of changes, with Tyrell Sloan set to play his first match in seven weeks, recalled at fullback after Moses Mbye was moved to hooker to replace the injured Andrew McCullough. Sam McIntyre 21. Sam Lisone 16.

Warriors fall just short of miracle comeback against Bunnies (1 News)

Cody Walker has thrived under the burden of the South Sydney captaincy as he drove the Rabbitohs to a nervy 32-30 NRL win over the Warriors.

The only blemishes for Souths were a shoulder injury to backrower Jacob Host as well as allowing Warriors winger Marcelo Montoya to go in on the stroke of half-time. Souths had begun in electric fashion, with Walker swinging to his unfavoured right side and sending a cut-out pass in the direction of Taane Milne to score in the corner with five minutes played. With the Rabbitohs down to 12 players, the Warriors scored through Daejarn Asi and Marcelo Montoya to trail by two points with a minute to go and leave Souths fighting to keep them out.

Rabbitohs survive big scare to beat Warriors after first half blitz (NRL.COM)

A first half blitz from South Sydney lit up Magic Round to start day two but the side were forced to fend off a late Warriors comeback to win 32-30 at ...

The first half we just made it easier for them. The second half we did what we spoke about doing. His front-row partner Tom Burgess (147 metres) set a platform for the side throughout the contest. We put a bit of pressure on them. The Cody Walker-Alex Johnston combination is one of the best in the game with the Rabbitohs five-eighth sending his winger over with a perfect cut-out pass in the opening half to help set up the win. A try to Jazz Tevaga in the 70th minute got the Warriors back to within 14 points with 10 minutes remaining before South Sydney were forced to defend with 12 for the final six minutes of the game after Damien Cook was sin-binned for a professional foul.

Too little, too late: Crazy comeback falls short for Warriors (New Zealand Herald)

Reece Walsh and Jazz Tevaga were standouts for the Warriors, with Marcelo Montoya also strong in his comeback match. The sight of Harris on the sideline should have lifted Warriors fans, but the Rabbitohs had already added to their lead before he could come on, with Blake Taaffe latching on to a Walker grubber in the 23rd minute. It was their worst first half of the season, as the Rabbitohs scored five tries and could have had two or three more, with the Warriors all over the place defensively.

South Sydney Rabbitohs somehow survive miracle Warriors ... (The West Australian)

The captaincy proved just the tonic for Rabbitohs talisman Cody Walker as he delivered a masterclass first-half display of Magic Round wizardry that proved ...

The collapse of the Warriors defensive systems was exposed by a bulldozer barge by Damien Cook through five defenders from 15m out. His 170m from 15 runs was impressive enough but his energy lifted the entire side. Throughout the game he was exhorting his players to lift when required. The Maroons have a big decision to make about their fullback. Cranky Cody had been banished and instead the South Sydney playmaker was playing with a smile on his face again. Milne had a double inside 15 minutes as the Warriors edge defence crumbled.
