"We'll come in and watch the film ... and see where we can get better. In the US, the Finals are available to watch on ABC or ESPN3. Alternatively, in the US and around the world you can watch the games live on NBA League Pass. It's one game, you move onto the next one ... We've been in this position before and we've won series where we've lost the first game." I like our chances still, and we'll go home and we'll digest what happened. The surprise win in Game 1, the Celtics' first NBA Finals appearance since 2010, included a 17-0 run in the fourth quarter -- the second-largest scoring run in the final quarter of a Finals game over the last 50 seasons, according to ESPN. "And we all have been through situations like this.

“There’s only noise when someone wants to hear that noise. “But again, we let our guard down earlier in the game, and that allows guys to be more comfortable when they are taking shots. “They have won championships. “I thought we got away from ourselves in the first quarter in terms of game plan,” Kerr said. They have lost championships. We had some good stretches, and then obviously the fourth quarter was like an avalanche.

It's especially important for Thompson to make shots in order to maximize his value to the Warriors at this point in time, as he has yet to return to form as the dominant defender he once was. Playing alongside the game's best shooter in Curry, opportunities are always going to be there for Thompson, and it's up to him to capitalize. In addition to Thompson simply settling in and finding a rhythm, it's also obviously on coach Kerr to continue to put him in position to succeed. Thompson missed two full seasons thanks to a pair of serious lower-body injuries and he worked relentlessly to get back out on the floor. He also seems to be allowing frustration to creep in, as he could be seen slapping his hands together and shaking his head as the misses started to pile up on Sunday night. To say that Thompson has been cold over the first two games of the Finals would be an understatement.

Now the series moves to Boston where they will be looking to regain home advantage by taking a game at TD Garden, beginning live on Sky Sports late on Wednesday night. He ended the game shooting 4-of-19 from the field and just 1-of-8 from beyond the arc. The 33 points-off-turnovers the Warriors scored, as opposed to just 15 for Boston, was probably one of the pivotal statistics in the game. Some of that was down to adjustments the Warriors made. In Game 2 on Sunday night, Stephen Curry put in another inspired performance – this time aided by his team-mates to a much greater extent – and they completed a 107-88 blowout win to level the series. By the end of the game, that percentage had dropped to just over 40.

Feeling like the officiating favored the Warriors, Celtics' head coach Ime Udoka intentionally picked up a technical in the third quarter.

Jaylen Brown, who registered 17 points and six rebounds but only scored four points after producing 13 in the first frame before getting into foul trouble, conveyed: "We try not to get too involved with the officiating. Warriors vs. Celtics, NBA Finals Game 2: Live stream, TV channel ... (USA TODAY)

Here's a full schedule and viewing guide for Game 2 of the 2022 NBA Finals, plus X-Factors for both the Celtics and Warriors:

They could have used his offense in Game 1, especially in the fourth quarter, when the Celtics outscored the Warriors 40-16. He finished with 21 points off the bench on 6-for-11 shooting and 5-for-8 from three. The Celtics are now 8-2 on the road in the 2022 playoffs. Whether it was "a lot of adrenaline" or "a lot of nerves," as Steph Curry guessed after their Game 1 loss, the Warriors need Poole to settle in and score as he's done to get to this point. Jordan Poole struggled in Game 1, his first NBA Finals game of his three-year career. This also marks the first time the Warriors have trailed in a playoff series this postseason.

Stephen Curry and the Warriors New Reality (Sports Illustrated)

Golden State has been more reliant on its superstar in the NBA Finals more than it has ever been.

Even in their 2019 Finals loss to Toronto, the Warriors got a strong offensive push from Curry (30.5) and Thompson (26), with Durant missing much of the series. Seven years ago, the rallying cry was Strength in Numbers-with guys like Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala providing enough collective pop to support Curry and Thompson. And of course, it was Iguodala who won MVP—averaging 16.3 points to go with his defense on LeBron James—of that first championship in 2015. They were the Splash Brothers, dazzling everyone with their lethal shooting, burying teams under a hailstorm of threes. At the moment, Curry looks like a solo splasher, an only child. … I guess you compare it to years past, with the depth that we had, with the heavy load of scoring me, KD, Klay had, obviously looks a little different, and the game flows a little different.” “I think it’s different,” Curry said, “just because of the way the team is constructed. He put up 34 points in Game 1, which might have been enough had the Warriors’ defense not collapsed in the fourth quarter. Curry was electric Sunday, scoring 29 points in just 32 minutes of work, earning a rest for the entire fourth quarter. Can Poole recapture the magic of April and early May? Can Thompson— who spent two years recovering from major surgeries before returning in January—regain his pop in this series? “Boston is a hell of a team. A beaming Stephen Curry promptly met him for a high five and a fierce hug. In prior runs, the Warriors were powered by Curry and Thompson’s shooting, then by Curry and Kevin Durant (with a nice dash of Thompson on top). But now?

Steph Curry's defense as important for Warriors as his offense vs ... (USA TODAY)

As much as Steph Curry's offense is often the talk, his teammates and coach wanted to rave about his defense after the Warriors' Game 2 win.

It's just always about being confident with the ball in my hands and make plays." "Just means other guys have got to step up and score for us. "This year, there's definitely a need for me to be aggressive throughout the game, to create, draw attention, get shots up and just continue to apply pressure," Curry said. He just keeps working on his game, his strength, his conditioning year after year, and it's a pleasure to watch him play every night." "Our offense is always a lot of Steph," Green said. "Teams used to try to call him into every action and just try to pick on him. "People go at him to try to wear him down because they know how important he is to us offensively, and it's pretty dramatic the difference in Steph’s strength and physicality in his body now than from eight years ago when I first got here," Kerr said. He's able to hold his ground, so you're not able to bump him off his spot, and that's been huge for us. He just doesn't get enough credit for his level of conditioning, physicality and defense." He took what the defense gave him." "He got off the ball. "Not just the shot making, but the defensive effort.

2022 NBA Finals: Will Celtics' roller coaster end on an upswing? (NBC Sports Boston)

The Celtics once again blew an opportunity to take command of a series Sunday night. As Chris Forsberg writes, their on-again, off-again persona this ...

The Celtics talked extensively after Game 1 about needing to play better in the third quarters. It was also the worst individual game number in NBA Finals history. They dropped Game 1 in Boston against the Bucks and never had a series lead until winning Game 7. The Celtics haven’t always been pretty but they’ve found a way to win. There were the usual "bad Celtics" hallmarks: turnovers (18 leading to 33 Warriors points) and a lack of ball movement. The term "roller coaster" gets thrown around a lot in sports clichés. That said, the 2022 playoff Celtics ought be the cited example in any sports dictionary.

NBA Finals 2022: Game 2 Player Ratings for Warriors and Celtics (Sporting News AU)

The Warriors tied the series at 1-1 with a convincing 107-88 victory on their home floor, led by another strong outing from Stephen Curry.

At 22 years old, he is the youngest player ever with five 3s in a Finals game. He buried a game-high six 3-pointers on nine attempts for his 28 points. He started the game with a bang, scoring 13 points in the first quarter, but he was held to just four points the rest of the way. Poole was a non-factor in the opening game of the series, but tonight he was much more aggressive looking for his shot and letting it fly. Despite the Celtics ramping up the defensive attention on Curry in Game 2, he was still able to get to his spots and take over the game when his team needed it. The Warriors, who led by as many as 29 points on the night, took over the game in a trademark third quarter, outscoring the Celtics 35-14 and holding on the rest of the way for an impressive double-digit win.
