Fernandes takes and lifts the ball into the box with the home side clearing. He sets his sights from range with the shot taking a huge deflection and looping into the Victory net! The Scottish midfielder aims for the far corner but sees his shot deflected behind. His shot goes behind for a corner with Harry Maguire then lefting his resulting header just over the crossbar. "We want to play proactive football, we want to press high. But we want to press and that has to be the intention all day." And there's another familair pattern of play. Tyrell Malacia remains the only summer signing for Ten Hag thus far and performed well on his debut in Bangkok. Sancho displays wonderful feet to bamboozle his marker before playing the ball central to Fernandes. The winger continues his run into the box and is located by a wonderful lofted ball from the Portuguese. The ball falls to Fred on the edge of the area and he takes a touch before attempting a left-footed drive that flies over the bar. And there's the equaliser from United and after he saw a few efforts blocked, McTominay has found the back of the net. Dalot once again has plenty of room on the right to toss the ball into Elanga. The winger fails to get enough of a contact but the ball falls fortunately to Martial.

1 hour 30 mins to KO: Manchester United providing an early glimpse of the stadium. Harry Maguire starts and reclaims the captain's armband. Fair chance a completely different team will start the second half. Victory conceded a league-low 25 goals from 26 games last season in the A-League Men. The Brazilian scored a stunning chip last time out against Liverpool but this one never looked destined for goal. 34th minute: Martial beats a number of players in the final third but eventually gets overwhelmed in the box. Frustration building for the Red Devils. Not using the width well enough early on. The resulting corner is claimed easily enough by Victory's keeper. Ten Hag won't be happy with that first-half showing though with his side often too slow in the final third and looking fragile when defending Victory's counter attacks. Marcus Rashford is now donning the captain's armband for the Red Devils. 43rd minute: Goal! McTominay pulls United level via a deflected effort.

Manchester United made it two wins from two games on Tour 22, as Erik ten Hag's side came from behind to defeat Melbourne Victory by four goals to one.
Former Reds winger Nani was then introduced with just a few minutes to go, making his debut for the hosts seven years after his departure from Old Trafford. Fred's goal was the only difference when the two sides met at Old Trafford last December, and attention now turns to next week's pre-season showdown. Then, just moments before the break, the Reds went ahead. The scoring was then completed with just minutes remaining, when Edmond Lupancu diverted a Tahith Chong cross into his own net to make it 4-1, ensuring a second pre-season win for our new Dutch boss. With 15 minutes to go, United had a third, as Eric Bailly burst forward to feed Rashford. The England international nudged his effort beyond Izzo, and opened his Tour 22 account in the process. Zidane Iqbal showcased his talents with a superb piece of skill, as the Reds continued to dominate possession.

Manchester United kept up their good pre-season form by beating Melbourne Victory 4-1 in Australia.Fresh from smashing Liverpool earlier in the week,
Erik ten Hag kicked off his United tenure with a superb 4-0 friendly win over top-flight rivals Liverpool earlier this week. Erik ten Hag made ten changes at the break but United kept the pressure on with Marcus Rashford scoring their third before an Edmond Lupancu own goal. Fresh from smashing Liverpool earlier in the week, United were stunned inside the opening five minutes as Chris Ikonomidis gave the home side the lead.
Scott McTominay (43') ; Anthony Martial (45'+1') ; Marcus Rashford (78') ; Edmond Lupancu (90' OG).
Eric Bailly burst into midfield and rolled the ball into Rashford to take a touch and poke his finish into the net to score for the first time since January. The Victory fans made the most of their lead, chanting "you're getting sacked in the morning" at Ten Hag but two goals in the three minutes at the end of the first half ensured the Dutchman went off at half-time as the happier of the two managers. Ten Hag again picked his strongest team to start the second game of their tour of Thailand and Australia but after looking shaky at the back in the early stages of their 4-0 win over Liverpool in Bangkok they struggled again in the opening exchanges against Melbourne.
Manchester United fought back to secure a 4-1 win over Melbourne Victory in their blockbuster pre-season friendly on Friday night.
I thought in certain moments in the match we had them under pressure and panicking and I think we can be proud of ourselves.โ โWe want to build week to week, game to game. United delivered a much stronger second half performance, settling into their rhythm and keeping Victory pinned back for most of the second 45. However, it would be late heartbreak for Victory as United scored twice in the final few minutes of the first half. Another new signing, goalkeeper Paul Izzo, also stood out with several strong saves. Nonetheless, Victory held firm and kept United at bay for the majority of the half.
