At the time of writing, the MultiVersus developers have only acknowledged the "Syncing Account Status" problem, so it's uknown if any other fixes are on the way. That was the plan, but players have been reporting a number of issues over the past 24 hours, making the whole early access launch look like a farce. Announced last week, those who have purchased a special edition of MultiVersus, got a code in a Twitch drop, or were part of the game's closed beta have special early access to MultiVersus that allows them to play a week earlier than everyone else.

MultiVersus wants you to spend nearly £100 on its skins alone (Metro)

The majority of MultiVersus' cosmetic content is locked behind paywalls, and it'll cost £100 just to get all the skins.

As of right now, though, we doubt MultiVersus will be the one to overturn the stigma free-to-play games have earned themselves. This price also doesn’t account for the characters (since you can unlock them for free) or other unlockables like ring out effects, announcer voices, and emotes, most of which are, again, Gleamium exclusive. The idea is that you’d only need to spend money on the one or two characters you actually want to play as. However, it seems a significant chunk of the game’s content is locked behind Gleamium, the premium currency, which you have to buy with real money. The rest require either Gleamium or battle pass progression. Out of the 17 skins available, only one of them can be obtained with gold.

Player First Games has clearly been made aware of the memes, because it's changed Garnet's losing animation to something a lot less traumatic in the open beta for MultiVersus. Some MultiVersus Players Aren't Happy with Early Access (Game Rant)

From microtransactions that add up to hundreds of dollars to game-breaking bugs, MultiVersus' early access hasn't had the best of starts.

As mentioned, the problems with the Syncing Account Screen have reportedly been fixed as of the time of writing, and the issue regarding inaccessible Founders Pack items has been solved as well. Considering the MultiVersus beta will supposedly act as a soft launch of the game, some fans are worried that the game will need more fixes than had first been anticipated. These players were granted beta access a week before everyone else, and while getting on MultiVersus early may sound like a good idea, some aren't happy with the game in its current state.

Velma Might Be The Best Character In MultiVersus, WB's Smash ... (Kotaku)

The early-access open beta for the free-to-play brawler is underway, and it already has an unexpected standout.

That said, it takes a while to collect the needed evidence to make that call. Even with her limitations, Velma is that chick. One of the things that makes her stand out is the level of support provided and overall strength of her various abilities. The only drawback being cooldown timers that prevents Velma from spamming the better parts of her arsenal. Velma is one of the best characters in the game by a huge margin. Expect her to be rushed from the start. Seeing someone get scooped up and carried off the stage is as comical as it is effective. Velma is a force to be reckoned with in the right hands. By rapidly tapping the attack button you can send out her Supportive Words projectiles that seek out targeted friends and foes. If it lands on an ally, they’ll not only be healed but send out a stronger version of the beam. Synergizing one’s abilities with that of a partner to overcome the opposition. Derived from YouTuber Midya’s edit of an episode from Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur—where a hypnotized Shaggy single handedly defeats a biker gang—it was a viral hit that some felt culminated in the creation of WB’s free-to-play brawler.
