BodBoy marks Shmurda’s first collection of new songs since he was released from prison in February of 2021. Since then, he’s collaborated with Eladio Carrión, J Balvin, and Daddy Yankee for a remix of “Tata,” and issued “ Splash,” “ Cartier Lens,” “ No Time for Sleep (Freestyle),” and “ Shmoney,” which features Quavo and Rowdy Rebel. Shmurda formed his label GS9 after breaking free from his record deal with Epic Records. Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda has announced a new nine-song EP. It’s called BodBoy, and it arrives August 5 via Shmurda’s own label GS9 (created in partnership with ONErpm). Back in March, the 27-year-old rapper left Epic Records, and now he's revealed that he has his own label, GS9 Records, which will work in partnership with ONErpm. Since his departure from Epic, he's been releasing singles left and right, including "They Don't Know," "Getting Em Back," "No Time For Sleep," "Cartier Lens," and the Quavo and Rowdy Rebel-featuring "Shmoney."\r\nAccording to Shmurda, there's more collaborations to come. Fresh off dropping his latest single “Hoochie Daddy,” Bobby Shmurda has announced the forthcoming release of his first-post prison project 'Bodboy.'

Back in February 2021, Shmurda was released from Clinton Correctional Facility in New York after serving six years of his seven-year sentence. Bobby was arrested in 2014 and charged with a variety of crimes including murder, attempted murder, assault and drug dealing. He also said that it will feature appearances from DaBaby, Rich the Kid, Meek Mill, Rowdy Rebel, 42 Dugg, and Key Glock among others.

Martin Gero has stepped in as new showrunner for Quantum Leap, NBC's upcoming reboot of the popular 1990s sci-fi drama.

As Ben leaps from life to life, putting right what once went wrong, it becomes clear that he and the team are on a thrilling journey. The follow-up Quantum Leap series is set in present day. As Deadline reported in May, at the time of the Quantum Leap‘s pickup to series NBC was not entirely happy with the pilot. Gero and Georgaris’ new roles bring a steady, experience hand to a challenging production that aims to deliver on the high expectations for the classic title’s reboot in a super tight time frame. Gero is taking over showrunning duties for Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, who wrote the pilot and will remain on the show as executive producers.

Josh Lieb, former showrunner of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, is joining Charlamagne Tha God's late-night series.

Lieb hails from South Carolina, similar to Charlamagne and Colbert. He served as showrunner for the first three seasons of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He has also worked as a writer/producer on series such as What We Do in the Shadows, Who is America? and Silicon Valley. It comes as the show is rebranded from Tha God’s Honest Truth to Hell of a Week with Charlamagne tha God for its sophomore run with more of a focus on a panel format. Lieb, who was also previously an exec producer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, will join the Comedy Central series as an exec producer and he will lead the creative team for its second season.

He replaces co-showrunners Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, both of whom will remain with the series as exec producers. Meanwhile, Dean Georgaris (Bluff City ...
