US rock greats ZZ Top will headline next February's Gibbston Summer Concert, in the band's first visit to New Zealand in almost 36 years.
They have had at least 14 singles reach the NZ top 50 charts over the past 43 years, including Heartbreaker, Love is a Battlefield and We Belong. Synonymous with beards, hot rod cars and spinning guitars, ZZ Top are famous for their mix of rock, blues and boogie, with albums such as Eliminator and Afterburner, which between them spent more than two years on the NZ charts. Greenstone Entertainment has secured the "Heroes of the State of Texas" for the 2023 Summer Concert Tour, which starts in Taupo on February 4, travels to Whitianga the following day, and finishes in Queenstown on February 11.
