'Gypsy King is here to stay': Fury brutally calls out Usyk and AJ after 's**t' world title fight.

Good luck to both of them. Will he come out of retirement? “I’m sure that Tyson Fury is not retired yet, I’m convinced he wants to fight me,” Usyk said after the fight. But following the fight, and Joshua’s bizarre antics in the ring, Usyk said that he won’t fight “at all” if it’s not against Tyson Fury, who he believed would want to fight him as well. Tyson Fury Criticizes Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua Bout (Sports Illustrated)

The Gypsy King teased a possible return while denouncing both fighters following their bout in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

And if I’m not fighting Tyson Fury, I’m not fighting at all.” As fans and pundits continue to speculate on Fury’s in-ring future, Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) said Saturday that he believes the sport hasn’t seen the last of his fellow undefeated heavyweight champ. “I’m sure that Tyson Fury is not retired yet,” Usyk said. “To be honest with you guys, after watching that, the both of them was s----,” Fury exclaimed. “It was probably the [worst] heavyweight title fight I have ever seen. While some may consider Fury’s mic drop as nothing more than well-timed posturing, The Gypsy King’s short-lived comeback attempt earlier this month suggests he may not be truly ready to hang up his gloves.

Oleksandr Usyk challenges Tyson Fury to unification fight after ... (The Guardian)

Oleksandr Usyk has urged Tyson Fury to come out of retirement and fight him for the undisputed world heavyweight title.

He had the chance to fight him and chose not to. “I wanted to win for Great Britain because I know they want me to fight Tyson Fury,” Joshua said. You wanted to fight the elite. You never had the easy fights because you wanted to complete a résumé. “I saw in the eighth round, I saw in AJ’s eyes that he was feeling victorious already. “He’s too good and there’s no shame in it,” he said. Turning to Joshua, he said: “You’ve had to step up to carry the sport in our country. “It was one of the worst heavyweight title fights I have ever seen,” he said. In the later press conference, Usyk dedicated his victory to the people of Ukraine. “I am convinced he wants to fight me. His promoter, Frank Warren, said this month that Fury was showing signs of “itchy feet” and was keen to get back into the ring. I want to fight him.

Oleksandr Usyk's victory builds a clear path to the undisputed ... (ESPN)

Where do we go from here in the heavyweight division? All eyes shift once again to Tyson Fury.

The 34-year-old Englishman is able to switch stances seamlessly and his jab is one of the best in boxing. Fury bullied Wilder in his last two fights, leaning on him in the clinch and pushing him to the ropes, forcing his opponent to contend with all 270 pounds of him. Sure, Joshua is a big man at 6-feet-6, 245 pounds, but Fury is 6-foot-9, 270-plus pounds and possesses the sort of jab and footwork that separates him from his countryman, Joshua and most other fighters in the sport. Fury's promoter, Bob Arum, told ESPN's Mark Kriegel on Saturday that Usyk-Fury "won't be a hard fight to make," and that the purse split should be 50-50. But this fight makes far too much sense -- and dollars -- to fall by the wayside. Inside the ring, Usyk has proven to be just as courageous. He rallied with an even more dominant Round 10, and also displayed the punch resistance necessary to withstand the most dangerous shots. Usyk's use of angles, movement and an educated jab have made him a puzzle no opponent has been able to solve. "I will annihilate both of them on the same night," he said, referring to Usyk and Joshua. And if I'm not fighting Tyson Fury, I'm not fighting at all." While Joshua prepared for the rematch against Usyk, Fury defeated Dillian Whyte in April and immediately announced his retirement. That final strap, of course, is held by Tyson Fury, whose on-again, off-again retirement claims appear to be a rite of passage for top fighters.

Hopefully, he gets one of them — Usyk — to see if he can unify the heavyweight crown, and if he wins, Fury’s claim that he is the greatest gets a little more credance. But then Usyk won, and Fury changed his mind on the retirement thing yet again. Fury is also a ravenous boxing historian and knows an Usyk battle will give him the opportunity to unify the heavyweight championship. But talks of a Chisora fight fizzled and Fury once again vowed that he was retired. But, without a triumph over Usyk, can he even boast that he is the greatest of his generation? He keeps bull-horning that “The Gypsy King” is the greatest ever.

Astonishingly Usyk rallied to answer that challenge from the 10th round on to the end of the bout. Usyk was boxing to represent Ukraine during the Russian invasion of his country. The mercurial man from Morecambe has frequently floated his own retirement but the early signs are that he won't demur from a sensational fight with Usyk. "That is what I'm dreaming of every day," the Ukrainian said gleefully. When Manny Pacquiao was knocked out cold in his last fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, he didn't fight the Mexican again. So far in his career he hasn't followed the typical path of progression in boxing. To that end he has to rebuild. Usually it's better to drop down a few levels, seek out the type of contests that they will be well assured of winning but which will give them rounds and experience to put the lessons they've learned into practice, to hone their skills and continue to develop their style. At one moment a member of his team held him back, at another he grabbed two world title belts and lobbed them out the ropes. If he was satisfied with all he had accomplished, he would never need to fight again. Joshua also maintained his own forward momentum and showed his grit to wade on through the counters that often caught him clean. His behaviour after the fight did him no credit and the following day
