One of the things that I believe will keep listeners returning for future episodes is the vulnerability that Markle will be able to elicit from guests who are frequently regarded as superhuman. "The focus ends up being on how it looks instead of how it feels and part of the humanizing and the breaking through of these labels that we’re put into, is having some understanding of the human moments behind the scenes that people might not have any awareness of and to give each other a break.” I think as you grow with the experience that you get, you think of it as a wound — if you burn yourself, obviously you don't touch the fire again. “We see that the identical behavior is rated more negatively when it is a woman than when it is a man. Markle then explores how women become less fearless as they age as a result of the tropes that have been placed on them. As a result, Williams only got 30 minutes of sleep before the match. “If a man is ambitious, that is celebrated. “If a man is ambitious, am I bringing down society by saying a woman is something different than ambitious? The bravery of speaking about embracing ambition and dissecting the many ways society tries to limit women, were highlights that sparked flames many listeners will find enjoyable. Serena Williams, tennis superstar and Markle's friend, appears on the season premiere of the podcast. The hour-long podcast, which had a refined soundtrack, made it simple for listeners to tune in. Three months later, Procter & Gamble changed the phrase "women to people" in the advertisement.

Of course Meghan Markle's podcast Archetypes is boring. What did ... (iNews)

The Duchess of Sussex's new podcast Archetypes is the couple's first under their Archewell Audio deal with Spotify. But considering that Meghan can't say ...

Markle is ultimately still a member of the royal family regardless of her past, and most of the genuine insight she could bring to these topics is sadly off the table. Markle is of course a seasoned professional as a former actor, but the subject matter she is discussing isn’t groundbreaking (and when there are issues like the cost of living affecting women materially and disproportionately, it does feel all feel a bit superfluous), and at the same time, she is restricted in how revealing she is able to be. The problem, however, is that because of her liminal position, and attachment to the private and proper royals, Markle is unsurprisingly unable to speak particularly freely: the podcast makes for a boring listen. Williams speaks about the double standards between Black players and white players in tennis, and mothers and fathers in parenthood (she notes that her husband is not asked questions about balancing work and motherhood), and of course about how her move away from tennis will change her life. In adulthood, Markle is of course no stranger to the ways in which women are categorised and perceived publicly. Now, she says that the experience changed her way of looking at the world: it was “an awakening to the millions of ways big and small our society tries to box women in”.

My goodness, that is a smack at Harry and a punch to the royal family. "Essentially, however, this is a very negative view of women, we all know they have been breaking the glass ceiling for many years now. "Why is everything so hard for her? She has had a nanny when most could not. "[Markle] would still be a D-list celebrity if she had not married a prince. "Apparently ambition is a terrible, terrible thing.

With A Little Help From Her Friend Serena Williams, Meghan ... (Forbes)

A year-and-a-half into her Spotify podcast contract, there has been little-to-no production value coming from either of the Windsors of Montecito.

With less than half the span of the contract left and a total of one (1) podcast pushed live, we and the British are going to be facing many more hours of “Archetypes.” We do also know, and perhaps Meghan Markle’s first, main point in the early going of this exercise is that it may not matter what she and whatever well-known person she has invited ultimately talk about. The point lies, rather, in the exercise itself: Though Meghan Markle is on a good day, at best, a Grade B or -C celebrity, for Spotify’s purposes she can draw Grade-A celebrities to her modest flame and demonstrate an Oprah-esque intimacy with them. Why she chose to do that for the better part of an hour-long show will remain a mystery that her many producers will be attempting to solve as the series grinds on. As central as that event was to the stated “Archetype” podcast’s mission of looking at issues that “hold women back,” and, specifically, to the stated theme of this podcast, “The Misconception of Ambition,” Meghan Markle chose to ameliorate the very intense on-target value of her first, ideal, A-list guest. The podcast is a tastefully soundtracked parade of banalities, absurdities and self-aggrandising Californian platitudes. Here’s a quick smorgasbord of the reactions to “Archetypes” on Fleet Street. Predictably, the parameters of this conversation were very liberally set, which is to say, first, that it was hardly an interview, and second, that Meghan Markle led the show. They’re going to have to ramp up the velocity of production. Whatever position we might take on the content, which we’ll address below, going in there’s this ineluctable fact: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a year and a bit, or less than 50%, of their stated three years left. Shepherd being a married-in (to actress Kristin Bell) sort-of celebrity-bro to Harry in addition to a fraternal Spotify stablemate, there’s actually been little-to-no production value on Spotify coming from either of the Windsors of Montecito, and that in return for a contract reportedly [worth some $15-million-to-$18-million](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/meghan-markle-spotify-podcast-debut-170956159.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAGSK11r0niysx_7RCDNGOIZRbN2kyLXh8EChFNaaxMZQ1xRg3NXaovjwBsEGBMzk8DEfVoMYNiWKT79X7yo1LMfkKdhpjYTMOqhvoEV_GaZjVezTyJoHM1HQhY6k0jVu-HpoPMNxsAV26UsEfIowFbsyK6OgoSVubAG3K0H-gM-C). As of yesterday evening, August 23, we — and the many producers and executives of Spotify who have presumably been dreaming, hard, about what to do with the couple they signed — now have Ms.

[Gus, her rescue beagle](https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a20776169/meghan-markle-dog-frogmore-house-royal-wedding-reception/), who gained start status himself: he was even rumored to have appeared at Meghan and Harry's wedding reception. The dogs were, in turn moved to shelters and rescue groups, including the Beagle Freedom Project in California, where Meghan and Harry ultimately found Mamma Mia. "She calls on my cell with no Caller ID and says, 'Hey Shannon, this is Meghan.' We talked for 30 minutes, and I thought, 'Is this Megan Fox?'"

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry rescued dog from animal-testing facility (INSIDER)

Over 4000 beagles were rescued from a breeding facility in Virginia in August. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry adopted one of the dogs.

Speaking to the LA Times, Keith divulged that Harry already seemed attuned to Mamma Mia's needs within moments of meeting her. Mia and her puppies first went to Maryland before coming to California, the outlet also reported. She told the LA Times that the duchess simply identified herself as Meghan, so Keith had no idea she was speaking to a member of the royal family throughout their 30-minute call. The facility was set to be shut down after the Department of Justice accused Envigo RMS of animal cruelty in May. The dogs would have become test subjects for US drug experiments, as [Reuters](https://www.reuters.com/world/us/over-4000-beagles-destined-drug-experiments-finding-new-homes-2022-08-09/) reported. Envigo denied the allegations, but its parent company Inotiv Inc ordered it to shut down in June.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry adopt a 7-year-old rescue beagle (Page Six)

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have adopted a 7-year-old beagle named Momma Mia, who was saved from the Envigo research lab with her puppies.

She only discovered the identity of the mystery caller when the royal couple made a low-key, after-hours visit to see the dogs at a San Fernando Valley house.
