"We are just looking at options in the market. There are more than two people in control of [whether Luiz stays] but I'm certainly not one of them. I've made that abundantly clear. I'd like to keep him because he's a fantastic player. On Wednesday, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid also made a move for him. The domino effect which is caused by late business will inevitably mean that many deals will come to fruition with very little time to spare in the window. Arsenal’s recent recruitment under Edu and Arteta’s guidance has been second to none so there’ll be few doubting their approach for Luiz. Aston Villa remain adamant Luiz is not for sale. Palmeiras talent Danilo has emerged as a potential signing in the last few hours, but a deal for the Brazilian could prove difficult. Mikel Arteta has made it clear to the Gunners hierarchy that he wants one or two more signings in before the transfer window slams shut tonight, whilst the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Hector Bellerin could still leave the club. It's the big one.
