Geno Smith threw two first-half touchdown passes Monday night, and the Seahawks edged the Denver Broncos 17-16 in Russell Wilson's return to Seattle.

Houston Texans (31) - The Texans tied the Colts in Week 1. Indianapolis Colts (8) - This team is supposed to roll to the division title. Green Bay Packers (6) - Maybe losing your top wide receiver in the offseason is not a recipe for success? Tennessee Titans (19) - We thought we might have been down too much on the Titans before they lost to the Giants in Week 1. A tie with the Texans in Week 1 is not the way to do that. Cleveland Browns (25) - We didn't think Cleveland would beat Carolina in Week 1, but they found a way to get a 26-24 win. Carolina Panthers (23) - The Panthers came very close to winning their season opener against the Browns in a 26-24 loss. Dallas Cowboys (11) - Dallas looked awful in Week 1 and now has Dak Prescott's injury looming over the team.

Nine NFL playoff teams from last season lost in Week 2. That left the door for some playoff upstarts for 2022 to make their case for this season.

The Packers' Week 1 loss to the Vikings was reminiscent of last year's loss to the Saints. Justin Jefferson (184 yards) and A.J. The Cardinals and Raiders are among those playoff teams from last year hoping to avoid the 0-2 start. The new-look Broncos will make their home debut with Russell Wilson against Houston, which played Indianapolis to a tie. The Bengals should bounce back after a disaster Week 1 in which Joe Burrow threw four interceptions. It can't just be Cooper Kupp, even against the Falcons, who showed improvement with Marcus Mariota and a young roster. Lamar Jackson and Tua Tagovailoa were efficient in the opener, and they did that without the support of a trusty running game. The Giants have the opportunity to be the surprise 2-0 team of the early season under Brian Daboll. The Lions showed fight after digging a huge hole against the Eagles, and this is a must-win game of sorts for Dan Campbell in the early season.
