Sherborne road closure extended into 2023 (BBC News)

Dorset Council says delays are likely on the A30 until September 2023 after a car went into a wall.

President of Sherborne's Chamber of Commerce Jane Wood agreed there was no need for a ring road: "We just need the road we have to be open. West Dorset MP Chris Loder said the Kitt Hill repairs, which he said had been held up because of insurance issues, had gone on "for far too long". West Dorset MP Chris Loder said unless the council dealt with the problem "immediately" he would ask the government to intervene.

Anyone can enter the race and run the route at their own pace. - Britannia Drive (Princess Way) (11.15am) - Beach Lane (11.15am) - Kingsmead (11.15am) - Britannia Drive (Bitham Lane) (11.00am) - Burnside (10.30am) - Brookside (10.30am) The route will take runners through gorgeous rural scenery, as they course through main roads in Stretton and Rolleston. - Dovecliffe Road - Industrial (10.15am) The Brewers 10k is to be the very first closed-road race event in Burton’s history, according to organiser Burton Albion Community Trust.

Motorists in Sherborne have faced daily delays on the A30 Kitt Hill since February when a car crashed into a wall. The road was fully closed for several weeks ...

The work at Marston Road is scheduled to be completed this Friday, October 7. Work has continued since then, in addition to separate work at Marston Road, with delays seemingly a daily occurrence. Dorset Highways has issued a notice that work will continue at Kitt Hill with a provisional end date of September 18 2023.
