Wolves vs Nottingham Forest recap: Ruben Neves scored from the penalty spot to see Wolves' snap their three-game losing skid with a 1-0 victory.
QUESTIONABLE: Boubacar Traore (illness) Steve Cooper signed a new contract to remain as head coach (with added security), despite the poor start, as owner Evangelos Marinakis opted in favor of familiarity and continuity rather than tossing aside the man who won Forest promotion after a handful of games in the PL. For Forest, (un)familiarity has bred poor, incohesive performances after 22 new players arrived in the summer. It’s difficult to create chances without a midfield or wide playmaker, just as it’s difficult to convert chances without a reliable striker, but to lack both is a harsh reality that Wolves (and whoever replaces Bruno Lage on a permanent basis) navigate. Bruno Lage’s side is no longer Bruno Lage’s side, with many thanks to the Premier League’s worst scoring record (four goals fewer than anyone else). The victory sends Wolves (9 points) up to 17th in the Premier League table, now two points above Southampton who enter the relegation zone ahead of their clash with West Ham United on Sunday.

There are a couple of early games in the Championship. Fulham play Bournemouth in a mid-table meeting at Craven Cottage, and Nottingham Forest visit managerless Wolves. A win for either team, or a draw for Wolves, would take them out of the bottom three. It’s half-time at Kenilworth Road, where Luton lead third-placed QPR 1-0 thanks to a goal from Elijah Adebayo, and at the New York Stadium. “Yes, it is being televised live here in the States. “Enquiries are ongoing at this time.”
score a second half goal. Indeed, they haven't scored after half-time in any of their last 10 league games. 2:38PM ...
The way the league looks at the moment, it puts a bit more on the game, but every game, we want to change the result, we want to improve our performances and be more of a threat in the games. They have scored just three goals in nine league games this season and it is unclear who may be the man to alter the trend. We're planning for Wolves to be at their best because they have talented players all over the pitch and Premier League experience. This time, we need the positives from Monday's game to be the absolute minimum. We know we haven't done some of those aspects well enough so far and we've put in a lot of work to improve that. The Wolves fans are giving it to him as he trots over to take Forest's first corner.
