“dinosaurs” represented the loneliness he had felt as a kid and trying to come to terms with feeling that emotion. Fledderman dedicated “may 17th” to the transitional point in his life when he moved out of Bloomington. Long-time friend of Fledderman and IU graduate Max Barrett said they met during their freshman year of college and lived together for four years after that. “A lot of the theme was wanting to get out of a situation or get out of here,” Fledderman said. The good stuff. “Wonderful Day”, alongside Melbourne vocalist Savage The Girl, notions a life that doesn’t always go as planned. But these are some songs I’d imagine people listening to in their headphones, out and about. Its soundscapes are light, buoyant and – for lack of a better word – summer-y. Under the alias Star Monster, bass producer and DJ Phil Parhamovich reveals his galaxy-bending beats with a new EP, 'Butterscotch Candy.
Themes for his work include space, spooks and spirituality; earlier single songs like “Milky Way” and “Floating in Space” mimic Star Monster’s imagination of traveling through galaxies and the ethereal experience that comes with it. Star Monster prides himself on his stage performance and show visuals. Star Monster combines original and sampled soundbites with his smooth blend of pump-up beats. The first track on Butterscotch Candy, “Check the Flow,” takes the listener through layers of beats to arrive at dimension-shattering drops. It’s a party, it’s a trip and it’s an escape. 12 he will perform a free show in Madison at The Annex at The Red Zone (9 p.m.) to celebrate the release of his new EP, Butterscotch Candy.

‘Does this life have meaning?’ ‘Are we here for a reason?’ and ‘how do I live life if there is no intrinsic meaning and purpose in this world?’ Destiny is a character that embodies those questions and the song follows her journey along that road. Love The Sound is full of energy and will hopefully have you dancing by the end.” It’s about the way you can get caught up in the illusion of perfection that a live band portrays. This is the EP’s designated, face-paced punk rock jam. This is a song that captures the mood of the EP. “The Love The Sound EP is the culmination of around 18 months of work from Wishful Thinking,” shares guitarist and vocalist Carl Jackson.
