My Secret Auckland: Paula Bennett reveals her favourite spots in the ... (New Zealand Herald)

I got married on Piha beach, so it is my absolute favourite. Favourite brunch spot? The Sugar Grill in Te Atatū Peninsula is my local and is consistently good.

I cook a lot and usually have something I can pull out of the freezer in a hurry. We also like to take people out on the water. I am not known for my late nights and find nightclubs completely baffling. This week, former deputy prime minister and Herald on Sunday columnist Paula Bennett takes us on a tour of her top places in the city. If they are new to Auckland or say they don’t like it then I love to take them to the summit of North Head. My choice would be Ahi or Oyster and Chop, or you can always have fun at Prego.

Davidson, the past year has seen 122 sales, equating to 3.7% of the stock in town. “There’s a good mix of standalone dwellings but also flashier townhouses along the high street.” With many design boutiques, galleries and fine restaurants a stone’s throw away, Ms. “Prices along prestigious Saint Stephens Avenue reach way beyond the NZ$10 million mark, with some [notable properties] going for at least double that.” More: Parnell today is what CoreLogic New Zealand’s chief economist Kelvin Davidson called an “upper-end” suburb, with a median value of NZ$2.04 million (US$1.29 million)— nearly NZ$1 million more than the all-Auckland figure of NZ$1.16 million (and more than twice as much as the national media price of NZ$820,000).

We are working with airlines and their ground handlers to see what can be done to resolve it.” The video she took shows lines of trolleys piled with luggage in front of kiosks housing Menzies and Swissport; companies providing ground services for airlines using the airport. And those articles are free. Airlines contract companies to provide ground services which include handling luggage. Debi Futter Puati says her daughter Samantha filmed the piles of unclaimed belongings when she went searching for her own missing suitcase at the airport, on December 3. “It’s a challenging time as we navigate high demand and we are so grateful for the patience and support of our team and our customers while we work through this period.” [Is 'airmageddon' coming to NZ? An Auckland Airport spokesperson said in a statement that mishandled bags – the technical term for lost items – are always the responsibility of the airlines who sold travellers their tickets and not the airport. Andrew Leckie, head of Auckland Airport for Air NZ, said this is the first summer in three years the full network is operating. Singleton says the lack of contact adds insult to injury when the airline has his possessions and isn’t doing anything to return them.
