Mickey's Christmas Carol was originally based on an audio play, "An Adaptation of Dickens's Christmas Carol," and saw much of the Disney characters reprise their roles. The BBC also produced a version with an English-speaking narrator talking over and explaining the story. In this version of the classic story, Cinderella is gifted three magic hazelnuts that grant her wishes, allowing her to encounter the kingdom's prince. The children soon become inspired to be on their best behavior, in turn inspiring the people of Smeerensburg to move past their feud. It also helps that different countries have their own holiday traditions and each new year sees the release of even more Christmas stories for future generations to enjoy.
