"There's not really kind of one key hot spot. Others were also parking over residential driveways. "There's definitely still lots of people boating, but from what I've been told, compared to last year it was a bit slower to get going, but still has been a busy season," Marlborough harbourmaster Jake Oliver said. Doctors frustrated as Kiwis struggle to access STI testing clinics (RNZ)

Aotearoa's sexual health clinics have been operating with the same staff and resources for almost a decade, despite increasing demand.

Dr Massimo Giola has worked as a sexual health specialist for 30 years, first in Italy and now in the Bay of Plenty. South Islanders hoping to consult a free sexual health specialist would need to travel to Christchurch, potentially hundreds of kilometres away. The rationale behind this decision was to transform clinics into a secondary-level service only accessible by referral, which was expected to reduce demand by 30 percent. Auckland had four clinics, but none were open on weekends and just two accepted walk-ins. "You can go around and ask everyone in the sexual health sector, there is not a single person that will tell you our sexual health services are adequate," he said. Sexual health specialists are calling for a review of the Auckland Sexual Health Service, alongside further investment in public clinics around the country.

Disruption to continue as rail shutdown hampers South Auckland ... (RNZ)

The upgrade of Auckland's rail network looks set to cause more disruption as more people return to work and schools reopen.

"I didn't know that it had been closed from Ōtāhuhu to Newmarket until the end of March. And people travelling from the south will be affected," he said. The 20-year-old traffic controller said it would affect a lot of people. However, nurse Soumya Varghese was more philosophical. Matt Lowrie is the editor of transport and urban design blog Greater Auckland. "The issue is AT just doesn't have the buses or the capacity for the extra services and that was always going to be the case.
