UK act Eliza Rose places No 2 in the countdown, with Spacey Jane landing at No 3, No 5 and No 6.

Other big winners in this year’s poll include Fred Again, the British record producer who placed four tracks in the countdown. On Twitter, the account @OzKitsch provided comic relief with its Coldest 100, which looked back on curious All up, 57 songs in this year’s countdown came from Australian artists. Flume wins 2022 Triple J Hottest 100 (The Sydney Morning Herald)

It's the second time the DJ and music producer has won the countdown, a feat that has previously only been done by Australian rock band Powderfinger.

American singer-rapper and flautist Lizzo was this year’s highest-ranked solo female artist with her song About Damn Time which came in at No.7. Music festival favourites and long-time countdown staples the Hilltop Hoods broke a Hottest 100 record when their song A Whole Day’s Night featuring Montaigne and Tom Thum came in at No.54. Last year’s title was awarded to childhood favourites-turned-music festival regulars The Wiggles, whose playful rendition of Tame Impala’s Elephant became the first cover song to top the countdown. Australian indie-rock band Spacey Jane had an extremely successful top 10 campaign, with their much-loved song Hardlight closing out the podium. It’s very special. 101 for her song Time I Love To Waste.
