The Kiwi men smashed South Africa 38-0 in the final at Allianz Stadium, where more than 66,000 fans attended over the three days.

New Zealand was the fifth different winner in as many men's tournaments this season and have increased their lead on the table from two to nine points. "Immensely (proud of this group). "We just wanted to stick to our game-plan and don't get individual, bring the heat in around physicality and keep calm, cool and collected and I think we did that really well."

More glory for Black Ferns, redemption for All Blacks in Sydney sevens (1 News)

New Zealand teams completely shut out their cup final opponents to extend their leads in the world series.

A tighthead for New Zealand set the tone for the second half and while Akuila Rokolisoa dropped a pass with the line open in front of him, he redeemed himself from the resulting scrum by stealing ahead of South African halfback and kicking the ball through for a try. Then it was Joe Webber’s turn – over from an attacking scrum with 90 seconds to go in first half, with Sam Dickson over in the corner more than a minute after the halftime siren for a 17-0 halftime lead. The men’s match was perhaps even more one-sided, the All Blacks sevens using their size and aggression to completely dominate South Africa in the set piece and at the breakdown.
