There will also be free one way shuttle service from Kilbirnie park to Courtenay Place and Wellington Railway Station (last shuttle departs approx. The proceeds from registrations support the work that Nuku Ora does to increase physical activity and the wellbeing of people in the wider Wellington region. There are limited shuttle buses operating, if you wish to avoid the wait for shuttle buses then there are other transport options available with regular Metlink services through Kilbirnie Crescent and Flamingo Scooters located at Kilbirnie Park as well. Nuku Ora was established in 1990 with charitable status under the Charities Act. Round the Bays is an event that is all about community. The 45th annual Wellington Round the Bays event is being held on Sunday.

Thousands turn out for 'wonderful' Round the Bays fun run (Stuff.co.nz)

More than 10000 people turned out for the annual Round the Bays fun run for what organisers are calling a “very successful” event.

“People achieving their own goals ... Esther George grabbed first place in the women’s 10 km with a time of 36:36 and Ruby Bollinger took first place in the non-binary event with a time of 49:23. Amy Frankland took out first place in the women’s half-marathon with a time of 1:23:08, Nathan Tse won the men’s half-marathon with a time of 1:07:41and Niko Hlavac had the fastest time in the non-binary event with a time of 1:46:54. Finishing first in the men’s 10 km event was Thomas Strawbridge with a time of 32:50. Round The Bays chief executive Andrew Leslie said the event was “a celebration of physical activity”. With a half-marathon, 10 km race and the 5.5 km fun run/walk, the event provided options for those of varying abilities.
