The youngest child was 13. How the fuck did Police make light of the incident by saying the children “will have a story to tell”, really? “Following the incident, the Police failed to make contact with us as parents, to let us know what had happened to our children that day with any concern for their health and wellbeing following this trauma, or to offer victim support.” The kura community, unhappy with how police handled their concerns, have now laid a complaint with police and the Independent Police Conduct Authority (IPCA) over police actions on the day and the policies and practice that led to it. A flashing toy gun is the deplorable excuse the NZ Police use to terrorise a bunch of children? A Christchurch kura kaupapa and whānau have laid a formal complaint with police and its independent watchdog after officers aimed rifles and Tasers at a carful of 13- to 16-year-olds over a toy gun.

There is a real code with the section of getting things done. On completing the cadetship, Mark went to Christchurch as a temporary, probationary constable. It’s a regal purple with gold trimmings and I’m amazed that the colour purple was once part of our brand. He wasn’t old enough to drink but was in pubs enforcing the liquor laws. This story is about the importance of taking care of equipment, a lesson drilled into him from his early days as a handler. “People really loved dog displays and would get into the spirit. New illegal limits and tougher penalties for drug-impaired driving.
Qualifying drugs refers to controlled substances and prescription medicines. Check the label on the medicine to see if there is a warning. Remember to check with the person giving you your medicine that it is OK to drive. The changes to the legislation include new illegal limits with lower limits for infringements, and tougher penalties for drivers found to be driving while impaired. Whether you consumed one or more qualifying drug, and mixed drugs and alcohol together – will determine the offence that applies. Each listed qualifying drug has a tolerance and high-risk blood concentration level. Over the past few years, there has been a consistent rise in the presence of impairing drugs in driver’s blood in fatal crashes which is now generally about equal to alcohol, having more than doubled since 2015. Results from an evidential blood test determines the type of offence. Schedule 5 includes the blood concentration level for each listed qualifying drug. New enforcement levels for drugs have lower limits for infringements and higher penalties for mixing drugs and alcohol. For listed qualifying drugs this is a test for a quantitative level, and for unlisted qualifying drugs for presence only. The new drug driving law includes illegal limits for specified prescription medicines and illicit drugs that impair the driver’s ability to drive safely; and have the highest risk to road safety in New Zealand.
