And there will of course be counter-protests at her appearances, which will potentially outnumber her supporters. I’m not sure why the media and politicians didn’t just ignore her and give her zero air time. We have a Bill of Rights for a reason. And I think Chris Hipkins fell right into her trap when he said he’d get Immigration to look at not letting her in – that’s just the sort of headline she was looking for clearly.. The screaming and yelling about not letting her in has only promoted her presence and her message more. I think we can all agree it’s just an attention-seeking tour on her part.

This is a liberal progressive democracy and while I certainly think Posie Parker is a bad faith actor, she has the right to speak, equally however, we all have the right to protest her and challenge her. The issue right now is one of immediacy, how to protest her toxic rhetoric without making it a propaganda win is what matters this weekend. Make no mistake, Posie Parker is a radioactive Trans Troll anger grifter who is in it for the attention and clickbait donations, she has the right to Free Speech and because we are a liberal progressive democracy, we stand up for free speech, not censorship. She has dangerously decided to hold her speech in Albert Park, I say dangerously because it allows for a free for all to occur, which is precisely what she wants.
