At 20 minutes, they were down 20-0, and the Sharks were having their way with the Warriors left edge. Johnson’s conversion set up a grandstand finish, and he did not miss his chance to cap off the comeback. The Sharks scored moments later, then were in again before too long – both times exploiting space on the Warriors edges.

Kerr's Warriors 'didn't deserve to win' in costly loss to Nuggets (ESPN)

Klay Thompson and the Warriors suffered their 30th road loss of the season on Sunday night, a 112-110 decision to the Denver Nuggets, with Golden State ...

"There's a sense of urgency on these last three games and not only just the wins, but the vibe that you create going into a playoff series," Curry said. "Up until the middle of the second quarter, we had total control of the game. For the first 18 minutes of the game, the ball was moving, their defense was strong and they had total control. "We had control of the game and just handed that back to them. He was disappointed he couldn't get the job done, but he and the Warriors know they shouldn't have even been in that position in the first place. The Warriors opened their game against the Nuggets playing some of their best, cleanest, most complete basketball of the year.

NBA: Golden State Warriors will play final home game Tuesday vs. Oklahoma City, close out regular season with games in Sacramento, Portland.

“We have it in us, we have to play together the full 48.” “Frustrated,” Kerr said when asked about the vibes in the locker room after a loss like this. Thompson buried a 14-footer with 4:13 left in the second quarter to put Golden State ahead 56-44. Golden State turned the ball over only twice by the time Gary Payton II made a layup to put the Warriors up by 15 points at the 9:17 mark of the second quarter. But Jamal Murray got a hand on the ball and time expired, dropping the Warriors’ record away from home to 9-30. The ball was humming and the shots were flowing.

Warriors coach Andrew Webster explains why Shaun Johnson's ... (Stuff.co.nz)

An elated Andrew Webster says the Warriors are a different club this year after they record their fourth win from five games.

We just don’t want to sit on the bottom. We want to have a crack and we’re a different club. But the rookie head coach says everyone’s contributed to make a difference. We don’t want to make excuses for anything. “That is that they never gave up. “He didn’t try to throw it around. “If you think about what he’s achieved. Most of the credit has gone to Webster for the turnaround at the club this year. “Shaun just cares about what the dressing room and the staff think about him and that’s how he plies his trade and he’s earning respect every day because of it.” “The way he got us around, the way he stuck to the plan, he didn’t go away from it when we were behind. “He doesn’t care what people say, he’s home with his family, he’s happy off the field and when Shaun’s happy he plays well. He was like ‘this is what we’ve decided the plan was’, he stuck to it and we got results from it.”

NRL Round 5 Hits and Misses once were Warriors are again (ESPN)

This week we take a look at the brilliantly resurgent Warriors, a thrilling finish for the Bulldogs, a single-handed match turning effort from a Panthers ...

Doueihi might not have made it in time to stop the try, but a show of urgency might have stopped Walsh from putting the kick through at all. He simply had to sprint across field with the passage of the ball to be involved in the next play. The youngster was personally responsible for a 16-point turnaround in the game. With two minutes remaining in the first half, Souths lined up for a short goal-line drop out. With four minutes remaining in the first half the Raiders looked like they were going to draw level against a 12-man Panthers. But; in the 33rd minute of the game against the Broncos on Saturday night he put in a disappointing effort as Jordan Riki crossed for his second try. It sailed over to the delight of Bulldogs players and fans alike. As he approached Cowboys fullback Tom Chester, he chipped over the top, but this time the bounce soared back over his head, where Chester managed to get a boot on it before it was dived on by Bulldogs back-rower Jacob Preston near the sideline 20 metres out. The Sharks then, through the scoring of two tries, a charged down kick and a couple of six again calls, held the ball for the next 43 tackles before the Warriors had another turn. With a fairer share of possession they were able to score two tries, but still went to the break down 26-12 and thoroughly in need of the oranges, a breather and the mother of all motivational speeches from coach Andrew Webster. With time just about up, a slick movement to the left involving a hot potato flick-on from Paul Alamoti saw Josh Addo-Carr dive over in the corner. They crashed over with 12 minutes remaining, levelling the scores, at the end of a 30-10 run, after being 20-0 down.

And it's just us being smart about it and the type of injury he has,” said Malone. So it's just great to see him go out there and take full advantage of the opportunity." "What he did in Phoenix gave me a lot of confidence for him to go out there and play tonight," said Malone. Watson is an S-tier athlete, simply put, and showcased just how gifted he is as a leaper in front of the buzzing Ball Arena crowd. There’s a good chance both of Watson’s fourth-quarter rejections end up in highlight reels at the end of the NBA season as best defensive plays of the year. The Nuggets held Golden State to just 49 points in the second half after allowing 61 in the first two-quarters of play. The initiator to that defensive comeback came from a new face, Peyton Watson, who saw his first bit of real playing time on Friday night against the Phoenix Suns and carried over that strong performance to Sunday against the defending champions. This helped the Nuggets go on a 13-5 run to finish the quarter. As mentioned, for the third-straight game, the Nuggets did not have a good shooting night. The victory put the Nuggets at 52-26 on the season and 33-7 at Ball Arena, the second-best home record in the NBA behind only the Memphis Grizzlies, who the Nuggets now have a three-game lead over for first place in the Western Conference. Things looked to be going smoothly until Thompson hit a long two-pointer and then a near-impossible three-pointer from behind the backboard to put Golden State within 2. The Nuggets, meanwhile, missed all eight of their attempts from deep after shooting 23.1 percent and 14.3 percent from three-point range in their previous two showings.

Steph Curry, Steve Kerr address Warriors' mindless play in rough loss (NBC Sports)

After yet another disappointing road loss, Steve Kerr and Steph Curry try to explain the Warriors' lack of focus on the road.

"We understood that without Jokić out there, we're going to try and guard -- kind of picked on them really with ball and body movement," Curry recalled. So the guys really fought those last four minutes but from mid-second quarter until those last four minutes, we were mindless out there. Speaking of that second quarter, the Warriors had a 15-point lead, 46-31, with 9:17 remaining. Golden State then went on a 14-5 run to close the game, with Klay Thompson missing two game-winning attempts from 3-point land. "Steph made a great pass to Klay, he back rims a 3 with a chance to win. "Gave up a ton of offensive rebounds, missed box outs.
