Residents in northern parts of New South Wales and bustling Sydney are on high alert as millions brace for the possibility of extensive flooding. Recent reports confirmed a rescue operation for two men trapped by rising waters in North Queensland. Meanwhile, Sydney isn't settling down anytime soon, having just experienced thunderstorms that dumped almost 100 millimeters of rain, causing havoc on the roads. Over 20 residents had to be rescued as their homes and vehicles were threatened by surging floodwaters.

As the storm smashed its way through Sydney for a second consecutive day, emergency services received over 500 calls for assistance. Reports of flash flooding flooded local news—a bit ironic considering the weather! The city is currently knee-deep in cleanup efforts as the waters recede, with residents emerging to witness the aftermath.
